Stars within your reach!

When you are away from your homeland, no matter how much you love and are comfortable in your new country, you long for certain things that you grew up with. And among the list of things that I miss are plants and flowers of my homeland. These clusters of star shaped blooms are something I have always loved.

The Ixora seen in the picture above were in bloom at a small road-side open store in Bangalore. Was I delighted and sad at the same time, that these bunches of starry blooms can’t make it to my garden. I had to settle to just shooting a picture of it for the time being.

My love for Ixoras took the better of me, so when I saw Kalanchoes at the store, I mistook it for the more beautiful Ixoras and delightfully brought them home, only to be disappointed with realization.

Never mind, I don’t give up hope easily, who knows, I might some day see it somewhere in the stores, like so many others that I thought I might never get to bring home but eventually did, and are faring well in my backyard.

About anointedartist

I am a free-spirited person who enjoys the little things in life as much as the big ones that cross my path. As wife and mother of two wonderful kids, I have learned to take into stride the joys and pains of nurturing my family with laughter and tears. From being a stay-at-home mom for a long time, I have now extended my arms into the community to envelope kids with special needs and work with them. My soul takes delight in creating pieces of art in the form of pottery, card-making, crafting, knitting, crocheting, and list goes on. My long-standing wish to learn pottery-making took form and I have made quite a few interesting projects and love them. I also do prophetic arts (painting) along with my husband at our church during worship now and then and enjoy it. I believe that most of my inspirations come for my Creator and I am just being instrumental in revealing it to others. I feel honored to be used as His anointed vessel to display the creativity He has invested in me.
